We tested a Junior Suite: 38 m², Carrara marble floor, Neapolitan neoclassical furniture, private terrace overlooking the gulf. The bathrooms are in beige travertin, deep bathtub, double sink. The 400 m² spa offers hammam, Finnish sauna, Comfort Zone treatment cabins. From 2 200 € per night, the rate reflects the rarity: Capri counts four palaces, this one remains the most discreet. The service is attentive without being intrusive, we were upgraded without asking ✨

We recommend the Tiberio Palace to couples in their forties and older who already know Capri and seek calm without renouncing centrality. It’s an address for late honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, off-season retreats (April, October). Families are accepted, but the atmosphere remains resolutely adult, Italian and Northern European clientele.

Architecture and interiors

The palace occupies a 1920s neoclassical villa, enlarged in the 1960s then renovated in 2018. White architecture typical of Capri, barrel vaults, Doric columns in the lobby. Interiors by Neapolitan architect Massimo Iosa Ghini: white Thassos marble, Venetian stuccos, Cassina and Poltrona Frau furniture. The 58 rooms and suites range from 28 to 85 m², all with private terrace or balcony.

The Terrazza Tiberio serves contemporary Campanian cuisine under the direction of chef Domenico Iavarone, trained at Don Alfonso 1890. Breakfast buffet served until 11.30am, with house pastries and buffalo mozzarella delivered every morning from Amalfi. The Jacky’s bar offers 120 cocktails, the island’s most extensive agricole rum list. Room service 24/7, reduced menu after midnight.

Where the hotel sits in Capri

The Tiberio Palace stands on Via Croce, pedestrian artery parallel to Via Camerelle, 150 metres from the Piazzetta. Hermès, Loro Piana, Carthusia boutiques two minutes on foot. Giardini di Augusto reachable in five minutes via Via Matteotti. Marina Grande funicular 400 metres away, Anacapri heliport twenty minutes by taxi. The neighbourhood is residential after 10pm, very calm despite proximity to the centre.
