Private villa transformed into a 7-room hotel, perched on the Positano cliff with suspended pool and direct beach access by lift.
Villa Magia
From
1,725 €
“Private lift carved into the rock that descends 40 metres to a beach reserved for guests.”
Villa Magia occupies an old aristocratic residence clinging to the cliff, transformed into a micro-hotel of just 7 suites. We sleep in rooms with Neapolitan majolica floors, private terraces facing the Gulf of Salerno, king beds draped in white linen. The infinity pool seems to float above the Mediterranean, water heated from April to October. The spa offers massages in outdoor cabins under bougainvillea pergolas, Comfort Zone treatments. Beach access by lift carved into the rock avoids the 300 steps of the public path, a detail that partly justifies the 1 725 € per night. Discreet service, breakfast served in room or poolside until noon ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Villa Magia to honeymoon or anniversary couples seeking absolute intimacy, far from the grand palaces of the coast. It's an address for travellers who prioritise calm and a view over the action, ready to pay to only encounter six other rooms. Families with children over 12 are accepted, but the spirit remains resolutely adult and romantic.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The villa dates from the 1920s, built by a Neapolitan family as a summer residence. Classic Mediterranean architecture: ochre facade, barrel vaults, full-arch arcades. Interior renovated in 2018 respecting the original volumes, Vietri artisanal majolica floors, custom walnut furniture. The 7 suites are spread over four levels connected by stone staircase and interior lift, each with private terrace of 15 to 40 m².
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
No proper restaurant, but all-day meal service delivered to room, poolside or private terrace. Continental breakfast extended until noon, light Mediterranean menu for lunch and dinner prepared by resident chef. Cocktail bar by the pool, open 11am to midnight. We can also book a table at partner restaurant La Sponda (Le Sirenuse) 8 minutes' walk away, with priority for guests.
