Le Beau-Rivage Genève has held the quai du Mont-Blanc since 1865, and we quickly understand why the address remains a landmark for diplomatic and affluent clientele. The rooms overlook the lake or the old town, polished parquet, classic furniture, white marble bathrooms. The palace has kept its 19th-century soul without turning into a museum, regular but discreet renovations. Impeccable service, never obsequious, in the image of the city. From 1 136 € per night, a coherent rate for a historic palace facing the Léman. We recommend a lake room, the price difference is justified upon waking ✨

Who is it for?

Who we recommend it to

We recommend the Beau-Rivage to travellers seeking a historic palace without ostentation, diplomatic and private banking clientele, mature couples. The hotel suits business stays (meeting rooms, assured discretion) and romantic weekends with lake view. Families are accepted but the clientele remains predominantly adult, intimate atmosphere.

The building

Architecture and interiors

The Beau-Rivage occupies a Second Empire building from 1865, white façade with wrought-iron balconies overlooking the quai. Classic interiors renovated in stages, light woodwork, crystal chandeliers, Aubusson carpets in the lounges. Monumental marble staircase, period lifts modernised. 90 rooms spread over six floors, all different, some with lake balcony, ceiling heights between 3.20 and 3.80 m.

At the table

Restaurants, bar, service

The Chat-Botté is the hotel's gastronomic table, classic French cuisine, Genevan and Burgundian wine list (more than 600 references). Breakfast served in the dining room or in room, continental buffet and à la carte, lake view. Bar Le Patara for cocktails and snacks, intimate atmosphere, regular clientele. Room service available 24/7, simplified menu after 11pm.
