The Bvlgari Milano occupies an 18th-century palazzo entirely restructured in 2004 by Antonio Citterio, Milanese architect specialising in contemporary luxury. Interiors in contrast: light stucco walls, black Zimbabwe marble floors, smoked oak woodwork, Frau leather stretched over the headboards. Ceiling heights of 3.50 metres, sash windows overlooking the garden or paved courtyard. The scale remains intimate, just 58 rooms, hushed circulation in corridors lit by indirect light.

Il Ristorante Niko Romito has held a Michelin star since 2018, contemporary Italian cuisine served under glass roof or on the terrace in summer, book two weeks ahead. The Bvlgari Bar offers signature cocktails and Italian wine list, hushed ambience until midnight, Milanese crowd on Thursday and Friday evenings. Breakfast served in room or in the garden, continental buffet and hot menu, scrambled eggs with white truffles in season. Room service 24/7, reduced menu but impeccable execution.
