The Moroccan palace that redefined luxury in Marrakech in 2010, with its private riads and 2,500 m² underground spa.
Royal Mansour Marrakech
From
2,128.121 €
“53 individual three-storey riads with private pool and dedicated butler, no standard rooms.”
The Royal Mansour Marrakech occupies 3.5 hectares at the foot of the medina, commissioned by King Mohammed VI and delivered after seven years of construction. We bed down in private riads, not rooms: three storeys, central patio, pool on the roof terrace, butler who circulates through underground tunnels to never cross paths with guests. The zellige tiles are laid by hand by the maâlems from Fès, the cedar woodwork carved on site, the rugs woven in the Atlas. The spa stretches beneath the gardens, hammam in white tadelakt, treatment cabins with fireplace. Three tables including the Michelin-starred La Grande Table Marocaine, from 2 128 € the night for a 165 m² riad. The service attains a level of discretion found nowhere else in Morocco. It’s the reference palace in Marrakech, the one that has raised the entire city a notch ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Royal Mansour to travellers seeking absolute privacy and willing to pay the price, honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, retreats for affluent couples. It’s a hotel for those who want to discover Moroccan craftsmanship at its highest level without compromise, and who appreciate invisible service. Families with children find their place thanks to the multi-bedroom riads, but the clientele remains mostly adult and international.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The Royal Mansour reproduces the architecture of Moroccan medinas on a palatial scale, with its 53 riads arranged around orange and olive gardens. Each riad rises over three storeys: lounge on the ground floor, bedrooms upstairs, terrace with private pool at the top. Zellige tiles laid by hand, carved cedar ceilings, turned wood moucharabiehs, tadelakt in the bathrooms. An underground tunnel network allows staff to circulate without ever appearing in the paths, a system unique in the world.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
Three tables at the Royal Mansour: La Grande Table Marocaine Michelin-starred for revisited palace cuisine, La Grande Table Française for Gallic classics, Le Jardin for terrace grillades. The pastry chef runs a dedicated shop for oriental pastries and viennoiseries. Breakfast served in each riad, 40-dish menu available 24/7 via room service. The bar La Table occupies a vaulted room with fireplace, 300 references on the spirits list.
