We recommend Almaha to couples seeking authenticity without forgoing modern comfort, to travellers who prefer the calm Kasbah to the Guéliz bustle. It's an address for honeymoons, wellness weekends, romantic escapes of three to four nights. Families find their place thanks to family rooms and the covered pool, but the atmosphere remains intimate, designed for adults.

The riad follows traditional Marrakchi architecture: open-sky central patio, zellige fountain, galleries on two levels. Ochre and white tadelakt walls, carved cedar ceilings, studded doors. The scale remains modest, a maximum of fifteen rooms, which guarantees a private house atmosphere. The recent restoration has preserved the original elements while integrating air conditioning, Wi-Fi and contemporary bathrooms.

The restaurant serves classic Moroccan cuisine, tajines, Friday couscous, pastillas, in the patio or on the terrace depending on the season. Breakfast mixes pastries, msemen pancakes, olive oil and local honey, served until noon. Room service operates 24/7, handy after a day in the souks. No signature chef, but careful execution of traditional recipes, without gastronomic pretensions.

The Kasbah lies south of the Médina, a less dense historic district than the centre. Saadian Tombs two minutes' walk, El Badi Palace five, Jemaa el-Fna square fifteen minutes on foot. Marrakech-Menara airport is 6 km away, ten minutes by taxi, shuttle available on request. The district is residential, calm after 8pm, with a few riad-restaurants and artisans' workshops. No metro in Marrakech, travel by taxi, calèche or on foot in the Médina.
