An American palace from 1866 revived by Relais & Châteaux in the heart of the White City, between Bauhaus and the Mediterranean.
The Drisco Hotel Tel Aviv - Relais & Châteaux - Adults Only
From
351.97 €
“Rooftop with 360° view over Tel-Aviv, from the sea to the rooftops of Jaffa, open to residents only.”
The Drisco Hotel occupies an American villa from 1866 on Auerbach Street, a stone's throw from Carmel Market and the UNESCO-listed Bauhaus façades. We slept in rooms with 3.80 m ceilings, original parquet, Carrara marble bathrooms, windows framing the palm trees and the sea in the distance. The spa offers hammam and signature treatments, the restaurant serves contemporary Mediterranean cuisine under a glass roof, the cocktail bar stays open until midnight. The service is attentive without being intrusive, the adult atmosphere (no children), the rate from 352 € per night justifies the rarity of the address. We recommend for a romantic weekend or an urban retreat away from the Rothschild towers. ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend The Drisco to couples in their thirties and older looking for an intimate palace far from the glass towers of Rothschild. It is an address for birthdays, late honeymoons, creative retreats, dinners for two after a day of galleries in Neve Tzedek. The adults-only policy excludes families, the clientele remains mainly European and American, discreet, cultured.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The Drisco occupies an American villa built in 1866 by Christian settlers, one of the rare architectural testimonies of that era in Tel-Aviv. Jerusalem stone façade, green shutters, central solid-wood staircase, ceilings nearly four metres high. Relais & Châteaux renovation in 2017: restored original parquet, mouldings preserved, contemporary furniture signed by Israeli designers. Fifteen rooms and suites, all different, between 28 and 65 m².
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The Drisco restaurant serves contemporary Mediterranean cuisine under a glass roof, produce from Carmel Market five minutes away on foot, Levantine and European influences. The chef worked at Ottolenghi in London before returning to Tel-Aviv. Continental breakfast served until noon, weekend brunch, dinner by reservation. The cocktail bar offers a selection of local spirits, arak, wines from Galilee, open until midnight.
