The first Soho House in the Middle East, set in a former Ottoman hospital facing Jaffa.
Soho House Tel Aviv
From
325.114 €
“Rooftop pool with 360° views over the old town of Jaffa and the Mediterranean, reserved for members and residents.”
Soho House Tel Aviv occupies a 1934 building in Jaffa, the historic district south of Tel Aviv, a stone's throw from the port and Ottoman alleyways. We tested a sea-view room: oak parquet, king-size bed, olive-green terrazzo bathroom, sash windows letting in the sound of waves and seagulls. The rooftop pool remains the highlight, open until 10pm, teak loungers, cocktail bar, clear views over minarets and domes. Restaurant Alena serves honest Mediterranean cuisine, local produce, relaxed yet attentive service. The vibe is resolutely members' club: international creative clientele, no dress code, fast Wi-Fi everywhere. From 325 € a night, a rate justified by the location and access to common areas, but we remain in a Soho House, not a classic palace ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Soho House Tel Aviv to members of the Soho House network who want to find their bearings in the Middle East, and to travellers who prefer the club spirit over palace formality. It is an address for creative thirty- and forty-somethings, design weekends, beach and culture stays, couples who enjoy the local-international mix. Families with children are welcome, yet the atmosphere stays adult, especially in the evening around the pool.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The building dates from 1934, a former Ottoman hospital converted in 2021 by Soho House. Typical Bauhaus architecture of Tel Aviv: white façade, clean lines, sash windows, internal walkways. Interiors by Soho House Design: coloured terrazzo, light wood, mid-century furniture, works by local artists on the walls. The scale stays intimate, around a hundred rooms across five floors, no monumental lobby.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
Restaurant Alena occupies the ground floor and terrace, open midday and evening, Mediterranean cuisine with Levantine influences: house hummus, grilled fish, roasted vegetables, Oriental pastries. Jaffa Bar on the rooftop serves cocktails and snacks until 10pm, short menu, unbeatable views. Continental breakfast buffet included for residents, served until 11am. Room service available 24/7, simplified menu after midnight.
