More Meni City Beach Rhodes

The hotel also suits solo travellers in quest of Mediterranean sun with an urban pied-à-terre, far from impersonal all-inclusive complexes. Groups of friends in their thirties find good value for a beach stay without sacrificing access to the tavernas and shops in the centre.

The More Meni is a contemporary four-storey building, white architecture with clean lines typical of 2010s Greek beachfront constructions. Minimalist interiors: light stone floors, white walls, touches of natural wood and linen textiles. Rooms range from 22 to 35 m², private balconies with sea or city views depending on the floor. The whole privileges natural light and fluidity between indoor and outdoor spaces, flowing terraces at ground level.

The hotel restaurant offers a Mediterranean menu focused on local produce: grilled octopus, baked sea bream, generous Greek salads, mezze to share. Buffet breakfast served on the sea-facing terrace, Greek yoghurt with Dodecanese honey, homemade pastries, made-to-order omelettes. The pool bar serves classic cocktails and Greek wines until midnight. No signature chef nor gastronomic ambition, but careful execution that suffices for evenings when we don't want to go out.

The hotel stands on Nikolaou Savva, Rhodes's north seafront, ten minutes on foot from the Porte d'Amboise which opens onto the medieval old town. The Nea Agora district mixes modern hotels, family tavernas and local shops, summer buzz without being saturated. Psaropoula beach 50 metres away, Mandraki port and its line of windmills 1.2 km. Diagoras international airport 16 km, shuttles and taxis available, car rental recommended to explore the island (Lindos 50 km, Valley of the Butterflies 25 km).
