The 10GR Boutique Hotel & Wine Bar occupies a restored Ottoman house in the labyrinth of Rhodes's old town, two minutes from the Knights' ramparts. Just ten rooms, exposed stone, contemporary whitened oak furniture, grey terrazzo bathrooms. We tested room 7, view over tiled roofs and the minaret of the Suleiman Mosque, golden light in late afternoon. The ground-floor wine bar offers 120 Greek references, many from small Peloponnese and Cyclades estates, attentive service without being stuffy. From 304,56 € per night, breakfast included with local products (thyme honey, sheep's milk yoghurt, homemade pastries). The rooftop terrace opens at sunset, 360° views over the Aegean Sea and illuminated fortifications ✨

Who is it for?

Who we recommend it to

We recommend the 10GR to thirty- and forty-something couples seeking a discreet address in the old town, far from the coastal beach complexes. The hotel suits fans of natural wine and UNESCO heritage, cultural weekends, romantic escapes off-season. The intimate size (ten rooms) and lack of spa or pool rule out families with children and travellers seeking all-inclusive resorts.

The building

Architecture and interiors

The building dates from the Ottoman era (18th century), restored in 2019 respecting the original limestone walls and vaults. Contemporary minimalist interior, polished concrete floors, light oak joinery, brushed brass lighting. Rooms measure 18 to 28 m², 3.20 m ceilings, small-paned windows overlooking cobbled alleys or tiled roofs. Stone staircase leads to the rooftop arranged as a lounge terrace, teak sofas and white linen cushions.

At the table

Restaurants, bar, service

The wine bar occupies the ground floor, open 6pm to midnight, list of 120 Greek wines focusing on small estates and natural winemaking. No proper restaurant, but plates of local charcuterie (louza, apaki), goat and sheep cheeses, cold mezze prepared by a Rhodian caterer. Breakfast served until 11am, continental buffet with homemade pastries, thyme honey yoghurt, scrambled eggs to order. Room service available for light snacks (salads, sandwiches), no hot menu after 3pm.
