Roman villa on the heights of Fourvière, suspended pool facing the Alps and mineral spa.
Villa Maïa
From
421.118 €
“Terrace with heated pool open year-round, panoramic view over Lyon and the Alps in clear weather.”
Villa Maïa perches on the Fourvière hill, slope-side, in a quiet residential neighbourhood above Vieux Lyon. Access is via a narrow street; the hotel unfolds over several levels with cascading terraces, blonde stone, light wood, full-south glass bays. The heated outdoor pool overlooks the lower city and, on clear days, the alpine peaks to the east. The 700 m² spa carves into the rock, dark stone pools, treatment cabins, hammam, sauna. The rooms are contemporary, natural tones, grey marble bathrooms, some with private balcony. From 421 € a night, we pay for the view and the calm, not the palace standing. The service remains discreet, efficient, without ceremony ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Villa Maïa to couples seeking urban calm, wellness weekends, romantic getaways off-season. The address also suits business travellers who prefer the discretion of a design villa over the ballet of Presqu’île palaces. Families find their place thanks to the space and the pool, yet the clientele remains predominantly adult, thirty-somethings and older.
The building
Architecture and interiors
Villa Maïa occupies a contemporary 2010s construction, mineral architecture in tiers that follows the Fourvière slope. Blonde limestone façades, wide glass bays, vegetated roof terraces. Interiors are pared-back: light wood, polished concrete, grey marble, Italian design furniture. The property comprises around forty rooms spread over several levels, all oriented toward the Rhône valley.

Room service available 24/7, simplified menu after 10 pm.
