The Cole Boutique Hotel & Spa
From
306.178 €
“Infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic, 300 m² spa with sauna and hammam, two minutes' walk from Clifton beaches.”
The Cole Boutique Hotel & Spa occupies a contemporary villa on Church Road, between the Twelve Apostles and the four beaches of Clifton. We tested an ocean-side room: floor-to-ceiling glass bay, private terrace, grey marble bathroom with rain-effect shower. The spa offers signature massages, Africology treatments, Finnish sauna and Turkish hammam, open until 8pm. The infinity pool overlooks the Atlantic directly, teak loungers, cocktail service until sunset. Only ten rooms, which guarantees ultra-personalised service and rare tranquillity for Cape Town. From 306 € per night, a rate justified by the location and the included spa offering ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend The Cole to couples in their thirties and forties seeking absolute calm, far from the Waterfront bustle. An address for extended honeymoons, wellness retreats, discreet birthdays with a view. Families with children are accepted, yet the intimate scale and adult-only spa clearly orient it towards a romantic clientele.
The building
Architecture and interiors
Contemporary two-storey villa built in the 2000s, renovated in 2018. Minimalist white architecture, large picture windows, flat roofs, tiered terraces facing the ocean. Clean interiors: light limestone floors, bespoke light-wood furniture, linen and cotton textiles. Ten rooms spread over two levels, 28 to 45 m², all with frontal Atlantic views.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
In-house restaurant with a short menu: line-caught fish of the day, Hout Bay crayfish, Karoo meats, Cape wines. Breakfast served on the terrace or in-room: fresh fruit, smoothies, eggs to order, house pastries. Cocktail bar open until 11pm, selection of South African gins (Inverroche, Musgrave, Hope). 24-hour room service, yet for larger tables (La Colombe, The Pot Luck Club) a car is needed towards Constantia or Woodstock.
