Royal Heritage Haveli - By Leisure Hotels
From
107.745 €
“Preserved Rajput architecture with period wall frescoes, pool in the inner courtyard paved with pink sandstone.”
The Royal Heritage Haveli occupies an aristocratic residence in the Khatipura district, away from the tourist bustle of the old town. We sleep in rooms with thick walls, painted ceilings, carved wooden furniture, some with jali balconies (openwork stone screen). The pool takes centre stage in the paved courtyard, surrounded by columned arcades, light dimmed in the evening by copper lanterns. The spa offers Ayurvedic massages, hammam, a fitness room that is correct without pretension. From 108 € per night, an exceptional value for money for a 5★ heritage property in India. The airport shuttle avoids haggling with taxis on arrival. We recommend for a first stay in Jaipur, the address combines architectural authenticity and modern comfort without folklore ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Royal Heritage Haveli to travellers seeking a first immersion in Rajput heritage without sacrificing contemporary comfort (stable Wi-Fi, efficient air conditioning, Western bedding). The address suits couples on a cultural trip, families with children (family rooms available, secure pool), solo travellers who appreciate the guesthouse atmosphere on a human scale. Lovers of Mughal architecture and residential calm will find what they are looking for, provided they accept a twenty-minute journey to reach Hawa Mahal or Amber Fort.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The building dates from the XIXᵉ century, built for a family of Rajput merchants enriched by the textile trade. Typical architecture of Jaipur havelis: pink sandstone façade, central courtyard with arcades, jali balconies (openwork stone screen allowing ventilation and privacy). The wall frescoes depict court scenes and floral motifs, carefully restored during the conversion into a hotel. High ceilings (3,5 to 4 metres), marble or terracotta tile floors depending on the rooms, sheesham wood furniture (Indian rosewood) mixed with a few contemporary pieces.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The restaurant serves Rajasthani cuisine and classic North Indian dishes (dal baati churma, laal maas, paneer tikka) in the vaulted dining room or on the terrace by the pool. Buffet breakfast with continental and Indian options (paratha, idli, upma), masala tea prepared on request. Room service available 24h/24, reduced menu after 22h. No signature chef or gastronomic table, but honest execution of local classics, generous portions.

Location & access
Where the hotel sits in Jaipur
The Royal Heritage Haveli is located in Khatipura, a residential district southwest of the fortified old town, twenty minutes by car from the City Palace and Johari Bazaar. Amber Fort thirty minutes away, Jaipur international airport twenty-five minutes. The neighbourhood is quiet, mostly inhabited by middle-class families, a few local shops and neighbourhood temples. No metro in Jaipur, rely on taxis or rickshaws (the hotel arranges rides). The off-centre location guarantees nocturnal silence, but requires journeys for every tourist visit.
