“Private motu ten minutes by boat from the airport, direct view of Mount Otemanu from the overwater bungalows.”
The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa holds a private motu of 16 hectares, accessible solely by maritime shuttle from Motu Mute airport. We sleep in overwater bungalows or beachside, blond wood and pandanus roofs, terraces with direct lagoon access. The view over Mount Otemanu runs through every room, this is the main reason to come here. The spa offers Polynesian treatments, the pool overlooks the reef, the service stays discreet without being invisible. From 1 941 € the night, a rate consistent with the isolation and island logistics. We recommend for a honeymoon or a retreat, not for an active stay ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Westin to couples on honeymoon or romantic retreat, seeking isolation without giving up the comfort of an international chain. Families find their place thanks to family rooms and the calm beach, yet the majority of guests remain adult. This is not a hotel for hurried travellers: boat access and island rhythm force one to slow down.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The resort spreads across a private motu, a collection of low bungalows in blond wood with traditional pandanus roofs. Contemporary Polynesian architecture, hardwood stilts, wide sliding glass bays that open onto the lagoon. Interiors blend woven rattan, light fabrics, volcanic stone bathrooms. Human scale, no building rises above the coconut palms.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The resort counts one main restaurant with international cuisine and a few Polynesian touches, raw fish in coconut milk, grilled mahi-mahi. Breakfast service on the terrace facing the lagoon, continental buffet and hot dishes à la carte. Beach bar for late-afternoon cocktails, infused rum and fresh fruit juices. Room service available, handy for distant bungalows.
