The Renaissance Aix banks on space and calm on the outskirts, far from the historic centre.
Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel

“Two pools (indoor and outdoor) and a complete spa, rare in the Aix region.”
The Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel stands on avenue Mozart, twenty minutes by car from the historic centre. We are in a modern business zone, calm, without particular charm but functional. The rooms are spacious, standard Marriott decor (beige carpet, light wood, correct bedding), nothing Provençal. The spa and the two pools save the address: outdoor pool open in summer, heated indoor all year round, well-equipped treatment cabins. The restaurant serves international cuisine without surprise, generous buffet breakfast. From 219 € per night, we recommend for a business stopover or an unpretentious spa weekend, not to discover Aix on foot.
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Renaissance to business travellers on the move in the Aix-Les Milles business zone, to families looking for space and a pool without paying the price of the centre, to couples in search of an unpretentious spa weekend. This is not an address to discover Aix on foot, nor for fans of Provençal charm hotels. Marriott regulars will find their bearings here, standardised comfort and efficient service.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The Renaissance occupies a contemporary building from the 2000s, sober architecture in glass and concrete, typical of peripheral business zones. Interiors classic Marriott: bright lobby with thick carpet, light wood furniture, indirect lighting. Rooms spread over several floors, all identical or nearly so, balconies overlooking the car park or the hills in the distance. No reference to Provençal architecture, we are in the comfortable international standard.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The hotel restaurant serves an international menu (pasta, grills, salads) without particular ambition, correct cooking for a quick fix. Generous buffet breakfast with hot corner, pastries, fresh fruit, pressed juices. Bar in the lobby for a drink in the evening, classic cocktail list and regional wines. Room service available until 22h, restricted but efficient menu for late returns.

Location & access
Where the hotel sits in Aix-en-Provence
The Renaissance stands on avenue Mozart, in the Aix-Les Milles business zone, six kilometres south-west of the historic centre. Around: offices, out-of-town shops, a few chain restaurants. No monument on foot, a car is needed. Aix-en-Provence TGV station fifteen minutes away, Marseille-Provence airport twenty. The district is calm, residential-tertiary, no life in the evening. We come here for the spa and the parking, not to stroll.
