BE Jardin Escondido By Coppola occupies a 1920s residence in Palermo Soho, renovated by the director of Apocalypse Now into an 11-room boutique hotel. We enter via a narrow corridor that opens onto a patio with a central pool, exotic wood flooring, tropical vegetation on the walls. The rooms overlook this inner garden, some with direct access to the pool, Argentine design furniture, king-size beds, bathrooms in black stone. The service remains discreet, almost family-like, we rarely cross paths with more than five guests at a time. From 288 € per night, it is one of the most confidential addresses in Buenos Aires. The reduced size guarantees calm, but limits the services (no spa, no restaurant on site). We come here for the intimacy and the design, not for the facilities of a palace ✨

Who is it for?

Who we recommend it to

We recommend the BE Jardin Escondido to couples seeking intimacy rather than the services of a large hotel, design travellers sensitive to architecture and cinema. It is an address for discreet honeymoons, romantic weekends, creative retreats of three or four nights. Families will find the space limited, the clientele remains predominantly adult, thirty- and forty-somethings in search of porteña authenticity.

The building

Architecture and interiors

The BE Jardin Escondido reinvests a 1920s townhouse, sober white facade on the street, entrance via a corridor that preserves the surprise of the patio. Francis Ford Coppola supervised the renovation in 2010, retaining the original volumes, adding the central pool and wooden terraces. Minimalist interiors, white walls, polished concrete, Argentine design furniture (Bonet chairs, solid wood tables), contemporary art works. The 11 rooms are spread over two levels around the garden, some with mezzanine, all different.

  • Gorriti 4746, heart of Palermo Soho, cafés and galleries two minutes away on foot

Location & access

Where the hotel sits in Buenos Aires

The BE Jardin Escondido stands on Gorriti, a quiet artery of Palermo Soho, between Honduras and Costa Rica. The most fashionable district of Buenos Aires, art galleries, designer boutiques, specialist cafés and restaurants two minutes away on foot. Plaza Italia metro station ten minutes away, Ezeiza airport 45 minutes by car. The area remains lively until midnight, residential afterwards, we sometimes hear the music from neighbouring bars at the weekend.
