The hotel occupies a 19th-century Ottoman mansion, restored dressed-stone façade, entrance via a paved inner courtyard. The original stone vaults have been preserved in the basement, now housing the indoor pool. Intimate scale, around fifty rooms spread over four levels.

The neighbourhood is touristy by day, quiet after 20:00, very Turkish residential once three streets away.
