A 12-room boutique hotel facing Yalıkavak bay, run by a Turkish family who transformed a villa into a confidential address.
Voger Bodrum by The Sea
From
729.73 €
“Direct access to a private pebble beach, teak loungers and hot towel service from 8am.”
Voger Bodrum by The Sea occupies a 2 000 m² plot in the front row at Yalıkavak, the chic peninsula of Bodrum where Istanbulites come to escape the August heat. We sleep in one of the 12 rooms, all with private terrace facing the Aegean Sea, light travertine floors, Frette linen, bathrooms in Marmara marble. The overflow pool runs along the beach, filtered salt water, constant depth of 1,40 m. The Turkish breakfast (menemen, goat cheeses, thyme honey) is taken on the terrace shaded by hundred-year-old olive trees. From 730 € a night, it is the rate of an address that bets on intimacy rather than facilities. We come here for tranquillity, not for animation.
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Voger to thirty- and forty-something couples looking for a calm stopover on the Aegean coast, far from the all-inclusive complexes of Bodrum centre. It is an address for late honeymoons, disconnection weekends, terrace readers who do not want to cross 200 people at breakfast. Families with young children find their place thanks to the pet policy and the shallow pool, but the spirit remains resolutely adult.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The building dates from 2019, contemporary Mediterranean architecture in local white stone and cedar wood. Low volumes (two storeys maximum) to preserve the view from each room, green roofs. Minimalist interiors: travertine on the floor, custom bleached oak furniture, linen and cotton textiles. The 12 rooms range from 32 to 48 m², suites with separate living room and bathtub facing the sea.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
A single restaurant, open midday and evening, short menu that changes according to the Yalıkavak market (grilled fish, mezze, fresh pasta). Chef Mehmet Kaya, trained in Istanbul, favours producers from the peninsula: olive oil from Gümüşlük, vegetables from the Bodrum plateau, line-caught fish. Generous Turkish breakfast served until noon, with a view over the bay. No formal bar, but cocktail service on the terrace until 23h.

Location & access
Where the hotel sits in Bodrum
The Voger stands in Yalıkavak, a fishing village turned high-end seaside resort, 18 km north-west of Bodrum centre. Yalıkavak marina (Palmarina) is 2 km away, with its luxury boutiques and fish restaurants. Bodrum-Milas international airport is 45 minutes by car. The neighbourhood remains residential and calm, little traffic after 20h, pebble beaches rather than sand. We are here for the tranquillity of the north coast, not for the nightlife of Bodrum centre.
