Rotating hotel on a headland, 360° view over Bodrum bay, adults only.
The Marmara Bodrum - Adult Only

“Circular building that pivots on itself, each room completes a full tour of the bay in 24 hours.”
The Marmara Bodrum occupies a headland above the marina, in a cylindrical building that rotates on its axis at an imperceptible speed. We sleep in rooms that complete a full circuit of the bay in a day, from sunrise over the Greek islands to sunset over the Saint-Pierre castle. The seventies architecture was redone in 2016, white interiors and light wood, private terraces facing the Aegean. Two infinity pools, 800 m² spa carved into the rock, direct access to a cove. Rates start at 306 € per night, adults only, which guarantees absolute calm even in high season. The building's rotation remains the main draw, some find it a gimmick, we find it hypnotic ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Marmara to couples in their thirties and older looking for a design statement without falling into a formatted boutique hotel. It is an address for offbeat honeymoons, disconnection weekends, discreet wedding anniversaries. Families are not admitted, the clientele remains adult, international, often architects or creatives sensitive to the 70s gesture.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The building dates from 1972, designed by Turkish architect Turgut Cansever as a concrete cylinder set on a rotating base. Complete renovation in 2016 by GAD Architecture, which kept the structure and redid the interiors in matte white, teak and glass. The rooms occupy the upper floors, all with private terrace and sliding glass bay. The lobby and common areas remain fixed, only the accommodation tower rotates.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The Manzara restaurant serves contemporary Turkish cuisine on a panoramic terrace, produce from the peninsula and fish from the bay. Turkish buffet breakfast until midday, brunch at weekends. The Sunset bar occupies the top floor, signature cocktails and DJ sets in summer. 24-hour room service, reduced but well-executed menu.
