Akyarlar lies at the south-west tip of the Bodrum peninsula, 20 km from the city centre and marina. The village stays calm, a few fish restaurants, a public beach, no nightlife. Bodrum-Milas airport is 55 km away, about 50 minutes by car, free shuttle provided by the hotel. To visit Bodrum, its white alleys, Saint Peter's Castle, the seafront clubs, one must plan for a car or rely on taxis (around 30 € one way). The area suits those seeking absolute calm, less so those wanting to go out every evening.
