The design remains minimalist, dark wood and local stone, without frills. The spa offers traditional Thai treatments in pavilions on stilts above the water. We recommend the SALA to couples on honeymoon or seeking absolute calm, far from the saturated areas of the island. It is a resort for travellers who prioritise the intimacy of a private villa over the animation of a large hotel. Families with children find their place thanks to family rooms and the gently sloping beach, but the atmosphere remains resolutely adult and romantic.

Architecture and interiors
The resort comprises low villas scattered across a 3-hectare tropical garden, contemporary Thai architecture in teak wood and lava stone. Flat roofs, large sliding glass bays, private terraces of 40 to 60 m² depending on category. Interiors play on the contrast of dark wood and white linen, pared-back furniture, semi-open bathrooms with outdoor shower. Each villa has its own overflow pool, between 6 and 10 metres depending on category.

The resort sits on Choengmon beach, in the north-east of Koh Samui, a 10-minute drive from the airport. The neighbourhood is residential and quiet, with a few beach restaurants and private villas. Chaweng, the island's nerve centre, lies 15 minutes by car, Fisherman's Village (Bophut) 10 minutes. The resort's free shuttle serves these two points twice daily. No shops in the immediate vicinity, rely on the resort or take a taxi.
