Maison Kasba is a recent construction in the douar of Ifrane, commune of Sidi Kaouki, contemporary Moroccan architecture without patrimonial pretension. White volumes, tiled terraces, garden planted with shrubs that resist the Atlantic wind. Sober interior: light tiles, functional furniture, a few artisanal touches (rugs, wrought-iron lamps). The scale remains that of a guest house, a maximum of ten rooms, common spaces reduced to the lounge and the pool terrace.

Emma and Gilles offer breakfast included in the rate, served on the terrace or in the lounge depending on the wind. No restaurant as such, but the possibility of dinner by reservation, home cooking prepared by the owners. Room service exists for light trays. For other meals, Essaouira is 15 minutes by car, Sidi Kaouki 5 minutes with its two or three addresses for grilled fish facing the ocean.

Maison Kasba stands on the road to Essaouira airport, in the douar of Ifrane, halfway between the town (15 km) and Sidi Kaouki (5 km). The airport is 10 minutes away, convenient for direct flights from Paris or Casablanca. Around, argan fields, a few farms, tracks leading to the deserted beaches of the Atlantic coast. The neighbourhood is not one: it is the Moroccan countryside, silent, windy, with the ocean in sight and Essaouira as a cultural and gastronomic supply point.
