The building occupies a Franciscan convent founded in 1470, restructured as a hotel in 1993. Lombard Renaissance architecture, arcaded cloister, 16th-century frescoes restored in the public areas. Pierre-Yves Rochon contemporary interiors: pale marble, walnut panelling, Rubelli fabrics, 4-metre ceilings in the historic suites. 118 rooms spread between the monastic wing and the 2000s extension.

La Veranda serves contemporary Italian cuisine under a glass roof overlooking the cloister, buffet breakfast until 11am, à la carte lunch and dinner. Montenapoleone metro station (line 3) three minutes, Centrale station 20 minutes by taxi, Linate airport 25 minutes. The district is Milan’s chicest, calm after 8pm, very residential, luxury boutiques and art galleries.
