“Promenade Vincenti in the front row, rooftop pool with view over the Sanguinaires islands.”
Hôtel Demeure Loredana occupies a Belle Époque villa on the promenade Vincenti, facing the gulf. We sleep in one of the 12 rooms spread over three floors, some with a balcony overlooking the sea. The rooftop pool offers a clear view of the Sanguinaires islands, open from April to October. The fitness centre remains modest, two machines and a yoga space. Rate from 644 € per night, breakfast included depending on the season. Room service operates until 10pm, short but refined menu. The family welcome makes the difference, we feel we're sleeping at someone's home who has known Ajaccio for three generations ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Demeure Loredana to couples seeking an intimate address without the pomp of a palace, and to families who want the beach without sacrificing comfort (family rooms available, secured pool). It is a house for travellers who prefer Corsican authenticity to standardised luxury, long weekends or week-long stays. Regulars of the Maquis or the Bergeries de Palombaggia will find an urban alternative here, more accessible.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The villa dates from 1902, built for a family of Ajaccio notables in the Mediterranean Belle Époque style. Ocre facade with green shutters, wrought-iron balconies, central staircase in Corsican stone. Complete renovation in 2019 that preserved the herringbone parquet floors, mouldings and ceiling heights (3,20 m). The rooms measure between 22 and 38 m², decorated in a classic register with a few contemporary touches (tufted headboards, designer lighting).
