“Just five suites, each with private pool hewn from volcanic rock and direct view of Oia’s sunset.”
Canaves Ena occupies a cliff in Oia, five suites carved from white pumice stone. We sleep in vaulted volumes with limewashed walls, light grey polished concrete floor, bespoke whitened oak furniture. Each suite has its private infinity pool, hewn from the rock, facing the caldera and volcanic islets. Silence is absolute, light changes all day long, from noon’s blinding white to evening’s coppery pink. Discreet service, breakfast delivered in a wicker basket, airport shuttle included. From 1 338,50 € a night, fully booked three months ahead in high season. Santorini’s most confidential address ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Canaves Ena to couples seeking absolute seclusion, honeymoon or anniversary, without compromise on design or view. The confidential scale (five suites) excludes groups, large families, any form of bustle. It’s an address for travellers who prioritise intimacy over palace service, happy to head out for dinner in Oia rather than having an on-site restaurant.
The building
Architecture and interiors
Canaves Ena draws on the codes of traditional Cycladic habitat, vaulted volumes hewn into the cliff, hand-limewashed pumice stone walls. Contemporary architecture by K-Studio (Athens), pared down to the radical: no superfluous decoration, all white surfaces, polished concrete, whitened oak. Each suite has its private terrace with infinity pool, carved from volcanic rock. The whole faces the caldera, west-facing for sunset.
