Five white suites suspended above the caldera, no reception or lobby: we ring, we enter, we stay.

“Private pools excavated into the volcanic rock, facing Oia's sunset with no overlooking whatsoever.”
Aspaki by Art Maisons occupies five troglodyte suites on the cliffside, at the end of Oia's pedestrian path. We reach it via staircases carved into the stone, no porter, no lobby. The volumes are hewn into the tuff: white vaults, polished cement floors, minimalist furniture in driftwood and linen. Each suite has a private infinity pool (4 to 6 m²) facing due west, towards the cruise liners gliding to Fira. Silence is absolute after 10pm, when the tourists head back down to Ammoudi. From 997 € a night, breakfast delivered in a wicker basket to the terrace at the requested time ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Aspaki to couples fleeing hotel complexes and seeking independence: no concierge, no room service after 11pm, you manage your keys and schedules. It's an address for discreet honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, romantic retreats where you spend three days without seeing a soul. Families with children under 12 not accepted, the stairs and barrierless pools explain why.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The five suites occupy yposkafa, troglodyte dwellings excavated in the 18th century by Oia's sailors. Art Maisons restored the volumes in 2009: barrel vaults whitewashed with lime, arched openings, grey polished concrete floors. The suites measure between 35 and 55 m², terraces included. Bespoke oak furniture, king-size beds, bathrooms in white tadelakt. No television, no minibar: the idea is to gaze at the sea.

Location & access
Where the hotel sits in Santorini
Aspaki stands northwest of Oia, beyond the main square, accessible only on foot (5 minutes from the municipal car park). The village is the most photographed on Santorini: cobbled alleys, blue domes, art galleries. A dozen renowned restaurants lie within 300 m (Ambrosia, Roka, Karma). The airport is 17 km away (20 minutes by car), Athinios port 22 km. Oia is quiet off-season (November-March), swamped with tourists from June to September, especially at sunset.
