Perched on the Oía cliff, the Andronis Boutique keeps the caldera promise without the crowds of large complexes.

“Private pool carved into the volcanic rock, facing the sunset over the caldera, no overlooking views.”
L'Andronis Boutique Hotel occupies a string of restored troglodyte houses on the northern edge of Oía, where the cliff plunges 300 metres into the caldera. We slept in a suite carved into the pumice stone, hand-limed walls, bed facing the Aegean Sea. The infinity pool follows the natural curve of the rock, water heated from April to October. The restaurant serves contemporary Cycladic cuisine (catch of the day, Santorini tomatoes, fava), tables set on three cascading terraces. From 1 156 € per night, rate justified by the view and intimacy (only 24 rooms). Service is discreet, never intrusive. Our verdict: one of the best addresses for a stay for two on the island, far from the tumult of Fira ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Andronis to couples seeking intimacy, honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, romantic retreats away from tourist circuits. It's an address for travellers who prioritise the view and calm over nightlife, ready to pay the price for an uncompromising experience. Families with young children will find the place less suitable: sheer cliff, unsecured pool, intimate atmosphere.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The hotel occupies a series of restored traditional Cycladic houses, dug into the cliffside using the local troglodyte technique. Pure white architecture, barrel vaults, polished lava stone floors, tiered terraces following the natural slope. The 24 rooms are spread over several levels connected by staircases carved into the rock (no lift). Minimalist interiors: driftwood furniture, linen and cotton textiles, white tadelakt bathrooms.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The Andronis restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on three panoramic terraces facing the caldera. Contemporary Cycladic cuisine signed by a chef trained in Athens: grilled daily fish, Santorini cherry tomatoes, split pea fava, island wines (Assyrtiko, Vinsanto). Continental breakfast served in room or on terrace until noon. Room service available 24/7, reduced menu after 11pm.

The hotel stands at the northern tip of Oía, Santorini's most photographed village, 300 metres from the Byzantine castle where crowds gather at sunset. Santorini Airport 20 minutes by car (private shuttle included), Athinios port 30 minutes. The village has about fifty boutiques, art galleries, tavernas, all accessible on foot via paved alleys.
