A five-star in the former headquarters of the Bank of New York, a stone's throw from Wall Street and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty.

“Rooms in a 1907 Art Deco building, with moulded ceilings and arched windows overlooking the Financial District skyscrapers.”
The Wall Street Hotel New York City occupies a 1907 banking building, and the weight of history is still felt in the volumes. The rooms blend period mouldings and contemporary furniture, some with direct views over the glass towers of the financial district. The ground-floor restaurant serves a classic American menu, without fanfare. The gym remains modest for a five-star at this price. We appreciate the location, 300 metres from the Charging Bull and a 10-minute walk from One World Trade Center, from 681 € a night. An address for those who want to sleep in the historic heart of Manhattan, not for the spa or rooftop.
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Wall Street Hotel to business travellers who want to sleep in the Financial District, a stone's throw from their office or the Stock Exchange. It's also an address for couples visiting southern Manhattan, One World Trade Center and Battery Park, without seeking ostentatious luxury. Families find their place here, but the atmosphere remains hushed, bank-like, far from the bustle of Midtown.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The building dates from 1907, built for the Bank of New York in the American Art Deco style. The rooms retain the original moulded ceilings and arched windows, with views over the Financial District glass towers. Understated contemporary furniture, generous volumes, parquet or carpet depending on the category. The whole breathes more boardroom than classic New York palace.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The ground-floor restaurant serves a classic American menu, steaks, salads, revamped burgers, without gastronomic pretensions. Room service runs until 10.30pm. We take our continental breakfast or dinner here after a day of meetings, but we don't come to the Wall Street Hotel for its table.
