The calmest of New York hotels
Aman New York

“Crown Building, 5th Avenue. Three floors of spa, 83 rooms.”
Opened in 2022, Aman New York takes the exact opposite tack to New York hotels: few rooms, plenty of space, a monastic calm.
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Aman New York to travellers seeking a bubble of silence in the heart of Manhattan, far from the usual tumult of urban palaces. It's a hotel for wealthy couples, urban retreats, extended spa stays, the odd high-end business trip. Families with children are accepted but the clientele remains predominantly adult, in search of calm.
The building
Architecture and interiors
Aman New York occupies the Crown Building, a 1921 Beaux-Arts building on 5th Avenue, facing Central Park. Zen interiors by Jean-Michel Gathy: limestone, dark wood, high ceilings, generous volumes. The 83 rooms start at 65 m², suites up to 280 m². Three entire floors dedicated to the 2 300 m² spa, 25-metre pool under a glass roof.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The Arva restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine, seasonal produce, short menu renewed regularly. The basement Jazz Club hosts intimate concerts, cocktail service and light bites. Aman Club for residents, wine bar, light snacks. No starred table but an offer coherent with the house spirit.
