The Andalusian village reinvented as a beach resort, ten restaurants and a clientele that has been returning for forty years.

“Ten restaurants and bars on site, including three Michelin-starred, spread across a 15-hectare subtropical garden by the beach.”
Puente Romano Marbella occupies 15 hectares of subtropical gardens facing the Mediterranean, midway between Marbella and Puerto Banús. The architecture imitates an Andalusian pueblo, with low white buildings spread around four pools and a private beach. The rooms vary in size and style, some recently renovated, others more dated. We come above all for the concentration of tables (ten in total, including Nobu, Dani García and Le Bistrot), the tennis club and the Six Senses spa of 2 000 m². The clientele mixes European families, couples in their forties and regulars faithful since the 1980s. From 1 259 € per night, which remains high for Marbella, but the all-in resort formula justifies the rate. ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend Puente Romano to affluent families who want everything on site without moving, and to gourmet couples ready to chain three dinners over three evenings. It is a resort for those who love the Costa del Sol without the crowds of Puerto Banús, with a discreet international clientele. Groups of friends in their forties find their account here, between tennis in the morning and cocktails at the Buddha Bar in the evening.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The resort opened in 1979 on the model of an Andalusian village, with white buildings of two storeys maximum spread around gardens. The architecture remains faithful to the original spirit: tiled roofs, flowered patios, ceramic fountains. The interiors have been renovated in phases, some rooms display a sober contemporary style, others retain more classic furniture. The whole counts 262 rooms and suites, all with terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens or the sea.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
Ten restaurants and bars are spread across the resort, from Japanese Nobu to Italian Cipriani, via Dani García (two Michelin stars) and Mediterranean Sea Grill. Breakfast is taken at Rachel's, a generous continental buffet served until midday. The Buddha Bar animates summer evenings with DJ sets and cocktails facing the central pool. The room service menu reprises the classics from each table, available 24h/24.

Location & access
Where the hotel sits in Marbella
Puente Romano stands on the Golden Mile, the coastal strip between Marbella centre (5 km) and Puerto Banús (3 km). The beach is accessible directly from the resort, without crossing a road. Marbella old town is reached in ten minutes by car, Málaga airport is 45 minutes via the A-7 motorway. The neighbourhood remains residential and calm, with a few private villas and neighbouring luxury hotels, but few shops within walking distance.
