“Three tiered pools facing the Ionian Sea, including one adults-only with an aquatic bar.”
The SENTIDO Apollo Palace occupies a promontory in Messoghi, west coast of Corfu, with unobstructed views over the Ionian Sea. We tested in July: the hotel is fully booked, lively atmosphere, European clientele with children. The rooms are functional, polished concrete balcony, light wood furniture, bedding correct without being memorable. The three pools are spread across the cascading terraces, the highest one reserved for adults offers a bit of calm in late afternoon. The spa offers massages and classic treatments, nothing signature but the execution is careful. All-inclusive formula from 239 € per night, which positions the address in the mid-range for Corfu. We recommend for no-frills family holidays, not for a romantic stay.
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Apollo Palace to families seeking an organised resort without surprises, with kids' clubs and evening entertainment. Thirtysomething couples with pushchairs find what they need here, adapted facilities, attentive staff. It's not an address for travellers seeking design or signature gastronomy, but for efficient beach holidays.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The SENTIDO Apollo Palace dates from the 2000s, standard Mediterranean architecture in white render and ochre tile roofs. Main building of four storeys with lateral wings, glass lifts overlooking the sea. Beige marble interiors in the lobby, woven rattan furniture, abundant natural light. The rooms measure between 28 and 45 m², elongated balconies with sea or garden views depending on the floor.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
Main restaurant buffet with themed stations (Greek, Italian, grills), correct quality without being gastronomic. À la carte taverna by the pool for light lunches, meze and fresh salads. Main bar open until midnight, cocktails included in the all-inclusive formula. Breakfast offers local cheeses and Greek pastries, decent coffee.
