“Direct sea access by private funicular, two pools including an infinity one facing the open sea.”
The Cap Estel occupies a 5-hectare peninsula between Èze and Monaco, reached via a cypress-lined drive. We descend to the sea by private funicular, the cabins threading through parasol pines to the pontoons fitted out on the rock. The rooms blend light wood panelling, ivory linen and sliding glass doors that open onto the blue. The Guerlain spa steps down three levels facing the open sea, heated indoor pool and treatments in glass-walled cabins. The gastronomic table serves Mediterranean cuisine on the teak terrace, dinner feet in the water possible in summer. From 2 905 € a night, we pay for the exclusivity of an almost-island domain 15 minutes from Monaco. One of the last confidential refuges of the Côte d'Azur ✨
Who is it for?
Who we recommend it to
We recommend the Cap Estel to couples seeking seclusion without leaving the Côte d'Azur. It's a hotel for honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, retreats for two far from the Monaco crowds. Families are accepted but the peninsula layout and intimate atmosphere suit adults better.
The building
Architecture and interiors
The Cap Estel occupies a Belle Époque villa renovated in 2014, set on a rocky 5-hectare peninsula. Contemporary interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon: light wood panelling, ivory linen, Carrara marble in the bathrooms. The 29 rooms and suites range from 35 to 120 m², sliding glass doors onto private terraces facing the Mediterranean. The Guerlain spa extends over three levels hewn into the rock.
At the table
Restaurants, bar, service
The gastronomic table La Table de Patrick Raingeard serves Mediterranean cuisine on the teak terrace, plunging sea view. Six-course tasting menu, local catch produce, wine list focused on Provence and Italy. The beach restaurant La Cabane offers lunches feet in the water in summer, grills and salads. 24/7 room service.
